About BlackBird Images

BlackBird Images is an award-winning wedding photography firm based in Harrisonburg, VA.

In 2008 we were awarded the OneWed "Best of 2008 Wedding Vendor" designation, were featured in the print version of The Knot, and photographed two high-profile weddings (which we can't say more about, sadly, due to confidentiality agreements.) 

Our wedding photography is also featured on Brides.com, the online home of Brides, Elegant Brides, and Modern Bride magazines.

Our photographs have also appeared in publications like Wine Spectator, Cycling News, Velo News, Virginia Living, Pedal Magazine, Daily Peloton, Up Here!, the Washington Post and the New York Times, and in work for clients like Rock & Republic, Kodak, Priority Health, Bissell, Toshiba, WhiteWave Foods, among many others.

We specialize in wedding photography; it's far and away our favorite form of photography. (Although we're partial to sports photography, too.) We're honored our clients trust us to share in such a special day, and we enjoy meeting and interacting with wedding parties, families, and friends. We've developed long-term relationships with a number of our clients, and have photographed weddings of multiple members of the same families. (We're looking forward to someday photographing our first second-generation wedding, even if it will also make some of us feel a little old.)
